Extraordinary that we still don't know the date or cost of Crossrail!

As Crossrail's new chief executive admitted that the line will not open in 2019, Caroline told ITV:

It's extraordinary that five months to the day when we first heard that Crossrail wouldn't be opening on time, we still don't know when it will open and what the final bill will be for Londoners - £30 million a month it's now costing to get Crossrail back on track - and it's not going to open this year. I think it's astonishing.

Caroline also told the Evening Standard:

“This candid admission of just how seriously Crossrail will be delayed raises even further issues as to how the line was held for so long that it would open in December 2018.”
